DeMarkMe

DeMarkMe — AI text rewriter & image cleanup.

Disrupt statistical watermarks through honest rewriting.

Multi-pass rewriting for AI-generated text; local inpainting for visible watermarks in images. Private by default — nothing is stored.

Paint over a visible watermark and a local LaMa inpainting model fills the region. Runs on your machine — images never leave it.

How it works

Text: rewriting, not deleting

Modern AI text watermarks (statistical word-choice biases like SynthID-Text) are not artifacts you can delete — there is no hidden metadata to strip. The only viable strategy is to change enough word choices that the pattern degrades.

This tool runs your text through a multi-pass pipeline (lexical → syntactic → structural → meaning-check guard) and reports honest transformation metrics. We never claim a watermark is verifiably gone — that is impossible without the provider's secret key.

Images: inpainting

Visible watermarks (logos, text overlays) sit on top of the pixels. You paint a mask over them, and the open-source LaMa model — running locally via IOPaint — fills the masked region with plausible content.

The result is a freshly re-encoded PNG, so metadata and C2PA provenance tags do not carry over. Processing happens on your own CPU or GPU.
